- My story: I am an outdoor lover, a foodie, and a small-town life aficionado. I was born and raised on a farm in Central PA, and as soon as I graduated from Dickinson College, I moved to the big city – first to DC, then to Philly, and finally to Tampa. I loved city life, but family roots and the desire to buy a home in the middle of nowhere (which I did in October) pulled me back to the Susquehanna River Valley. I adore the “undiscovered” parts of our state -- from the seemingly endless rural country sides and remote state parks to the small town charm of places like Lewisburg, Selinsgrove, Milton and Bloomsburg. I am also quite fond of local delicacies like whoopie pies, apple butter and pot pie (with homemade noodles – not pie crust!) In fact, if I was stranded on a deserted island, whoopie pies would definitely be on my top 10 list of food items to bring with me.
