- I have called Pennsylvania my home for my entire life. I live in rural New Bloomfield and work in urban Harrisburg. I have experienced much that our state has to offer. From state parks, to wineries, to farmer’s markets, to historic landmarks, I’ve been to quite a few impressive places in our Commonwealth and I want to share my experiences with others who don’t live in PA or who are too busy to explore. Through the years, with the influence of my mother and other family members, I have observed many hours of hard work in the kitchen resulting in delicious meals and sweet treats. My mom enjoys collecting fruits, vegetable and meats from local farmers and creating classic and innovative dishes. I too have begun to follow in her footsteps. It is my goal to explore the unique food offerings of Pennsylvania and share special day trip ideas and recipes I’ve found and created along the way. In addition, as an alternative to working away in your kitchen to prepare a meal, I will review restaurants in the Commonwealth. Whether they are new, under new management or just a classic venue, I will bring you my prospective of a dining experience, which will hopefully inspire readers to throw caution to the wind and try somewhere new.
