The Chester County Mommy Bloggers recently visited the Sun & Earth plant in King of Prussia, PA.  Sun & Earth, is a leader in making strong, effective, non-toxic and environmentally safe cleaning products for more than 20 years.

I am slowly but surely taking steps to lead a “greener” lifestyle so I was very excited to learn more about the All Natural Sun & Earth product line.The interactive tour is kid friendly and is a perfect way to introduce “Going Green” to your little one. (The children on our tour ranged in age from 18 months - 5 years old).

Our group was met in the board room by Company President, John Mullin who discussed the history of Sun & Earth, importance of recycling, talked about all of the natural ingredients that are used in all of Sun & Earth products  and helped the kid’s decorate empty bottles of Sun & Earth All Purpose Cleaner.

After the children finished decorating their empty bottles our tour director lead us through the plant, showed us where all of the products are packaged and mixed in huge mixing tanks. My daughter got to climb the ladder and look inside the tank. She is 4 years old and very curious so she loved to see how the products were made start to finish.

At the last stop on the tour the children were met by the plant manager and the children got to place their empty All Purpose Cleaner Bottles on the production line and watch them get filled. Since the kid’s got to decorate their bottles they knew exactly which one was theirs and didn’t take their eyes off of the production line. My 4 year old was so excited to go home and clean. It was great!

We do our grocery shopping at Giant and since the Sun & Earth tour whenever we walk down the cleaning products aisle my daughter likes to point out Sun & Earth products and tell me about the tour. She has also become our family “green cheerleader” by making sure we all pay attention to not wasting paper towels and recycle all of our plastic bottles.

Mom Tip: The plant has plenty of FREE parking, the tour is about 45 minutes long, and is stroller friendly.
