My boyfriend and I sometimes run into the predicament that is… where to eat dinner? It was a dreary day in southwest PA and frankly I wanted to go to the nearest fast food joint as quickly as possible and then get home and settle down on the couch and put on a good movie. Chip had other plans though, he said get in the car and with a sneaky smile just started driving.

He started driving in a direction unknown to me… we don’t normally head the way he was heading and I started to get nervous. I asked numerous times but he just smiled and stayed silent. Less than 5 miles from the house we ended up at a local eatery, Patrick’s Pub and I was thrilled for 2 reasons. #1. It was nice to be surprised and 2. I had never been to Patrick’s before but I had always heard very good things. 

We waited for the rain to let up and then we made a break for the door. The place was completely empty of customer’s and I thought to myself, well this isn’t a good sign! We started looking over the menu and another couple walked in and I started to feel better about things. I felt even better when I noticed they had a burger on their menu that is cooked with buffalo sauce and served with blue cheese. YUM.

We semi-watched the Penguins game as we chowed down on the comforting food while simultaneously watching the rain come down outside. I was excited that I finally experienced Patrick’s and can’t wait to go back.
