BYOB to The Cellar

cellarAfter reading stellar reviews and getting first-hand recommendations, we ventured out to The Cellar in Camp Hill for a Friday night dinner. With reservations for 8:00, we arrived to find every table in the restaurant occupied. We savored a leisurely meal, along with a bottle of wine we brought. Here’s a run down of our dinner:

Pointed out by Greg, I probably shouldn’t order something from the specials list because it may not be around again for me to recommend to readers, however, the Moroccan crab and artichoke soup was calling my name! Spicy and chock full of crab and veggies, this was a great meal starter. Greg enjoyed the tortilla soup, which is always on the menu. Next, we had a small salad of spring mix with a sweet house dressing, which was included with our entrée.

I had another special – red snapper with sunchokes. I have never tried sunchokes before, but I ended up loving the nutty taste. The fish was fresh and pan seared to perfection. Greg enjoyed the first item on the dinner menu – Cellar Macaroni and Cheese with crab and lobster. Served in a ramekin, this creamy concoction came out steaming hot with a side of roasted carrots. For dessert, we shared a huge chocolate hazelnut whoopie pie with peanut butter filling – moist and rich!
The ambiance of the restaurant is clean-cut and elegantly simple, full of kind and attentive staff. All in all, The Cellar is a gem and I look forward to going back soon.
